How we score

The editorial take

Beehive builds a short cocktail list for a room that keeps changing around it. Queen Bee opens with vodka, elderflower, grapefruit and sparkling wine; Thelonious Peach takes bourbon toward peach, tarragon, bitters and lemon; and Up in Smoke puts mezcal beneath raspberry and citrus. Seven signatures cover six base-spirit families, yet nearly all favor immediately legible fruit, floral or citrus cues over dry, bitter or spirit-forward constructions. The program becomes more persuasive when read by occasion. Weekend brunch adds four pick-me-ups and red or white Beehive Sangria by the carafe, while the summer Oyster Lovers Club puts cocktails and bubbles beside a Thursday raw bar. That flexibility suits a South End restaurant organized around live music and long social meals. It does not prove a destination spirits collection, and no current standalone backbar list was found. Judge Beehive for accessible cocktails that can travel from brunch to an evening show, not for bottle hunting.

What should I order?
Choose Thelonious Peach for the list's most savory detail: tarragon and bitters temper bourbon and peach. Queen Bee is the brighter sparkling option, while a $34 red or white Beehive Sangria carafe makes the clearest sense for a shared brunch table.
Who will enjoy this place?
Groups seeking recognizable flavors, a full meal and live music will find the list easy to navigate. Drinkers looking chiefly for austere stirred cocktails or a documented rare-spirits inventory have less published evidence to work with.
When should I go?
Weekend brunch offers the broadest set of formats, including pick-me-ups and sangria carafes. In July and August, Thursday's Oyster Lovers Club creates the most beverage-specific visit, with its raw bar running from 5:00 to 8:30 PM.
What should I expect to spend?
Current signatures cost $16-$17. Brunch pick-me-ups also run $16-$17, and Beehive Sangria is $16 by the glass or $34 by the carafe. A 7% entertainment fee is added to checks for live-music support and is described by the venue as optional.
What makes the beverage program distinctive?
One compact signature roster is recast for several very different settings: live-music nights, weekend brunch, shared sangria service and a seasonal oyster patio.

Cocktails

Inebrious Cocktails score: 84 out of 100

A concise, clearly priced list emphasizes approachable fruit and floral combinations, then gains range through brunch and seasonal patio formats rather than a larger cocktail canon.

Menu strengths

  • Published ingredients and prices for every signature
  • Six base-spirit families represented across seven drinks
  • Useful extensions for brunch, groups and the summer oyster event

Standout selections

  • Thelonious Peach
  • Queen Bee
  • Beehive Sangria

Pricing: Seven current signatures are $16-$17; brunch sangria is $16 per glass or $34 per carafe

How it sits with the food

The summer oyster event supplies the clearest official pairing frame: raw shellfish with bubbles or cocktails. Elsewhere, Queen Bee's sparkling grapefruit profile can meet salty starters, while the bourbon, peach and tarragon in Thelonious Peach has enough weight for the dry-aged burger or ribs.
