Other Half's original Centre Street taproom is still the most honest expression of the brewery: twenty rotating drafts in a spare room where production, not decor, supplies the identity. The brewery made its name on dense, aromatic hazy IPA, and hop saturation remains the gravitational center. The better news in 2026 is that the list no longer requires every drink to feel like a dare. Snaps, a 4.5% pilsner-style lager with Motueka and Saphir, brings lemon-lime lift, floral detail, and a clean finish. Forever Ever keeps Mosaic, Cashmere, and Citra intensity at 4.7%, proving that hop flavor need not arrive with double-IPA weight. Lime Snaps is a useful side experiment, though the added fruit makes it less diagnostic of the brewhouse than the plain lager. Start there, move through Forever Ever, then choose one full-strength IPA; that sequence distinguishes fermentation, hop expression, and alcohol instead of blurring three similar hazies together. Current independent criticism praises the beers as balanced and genuinely drinkable, while older drinker evidence identifies the persistent weakness: twenty handles do not always equal twenty distinct ideas.
